GCSC Autumn Sprint Meet

We have had a fantastic day today at GL1 with too many PBs to list from both experienced and newer swimmers. Sprint meets are fast and furious and today was no exception! Great to see some of our newest swimmers competing at this level for the first time and clearly enjoying it. Lots of medals were won throughout the age categories including a CPAC Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Boys 14 year old 50m Back for Ethan, Will and Kieran. Relays added to the fun of the day with CPAC securing medals in the Girls 9-11 200m free, Boys 9-11 200m free, Girls 14-15 200m free, Girls 14-15 200m Medley Relay, Boys 9-11 200m Medley Relay, Boys 14-15 200m Medley Relay. 

One of the highlights of the day had to be the Fast Skins event which saw the fastest swimmers in a swim off with stroke determined by the roll of a die! The Phoenix swimmers went wild as our very own Evie H (only 15 years old) swam to a magnificent second place.

A big thank you to our coaches for their poolside guidance to our swimmers, to our Team Managers for keeping everyone happy and organised, and to our officials without whom none of this could run.

And we get to do it all over again in a fortnight at Worcester! Can't wait!
