Soundwell and City of Bristol Open Meets

We targeted 2 meets between counties and regionals and all the hard training has been paying off.

The L3 Soundwell meet at Hutton Moor saw a staggering 118 PBs, including 4 new club records (Ethan H x2, Evie H and Maisie M) and 8 AGBTs. The swimmers didn't let the heat on poolside get to them and gave it everything they've got - it was a long and busy 2 days but well worth it for the results.

The next weekend, 7 swimmers attended the City of Bristol Level 1 International Open Meet. It was an awesome experience to race against some of the best in the region and beyond, with teams coming from as far as London and Staffordshire. A much quieter weekend with only 25 swims, but still a great handful of PBs especially given that many of the swimmers had raced the previous weekend. Especially notable was Evie W's bronze in the 50m back - a truly awesome result having recovered from major back surgery less than 2 years ago! Well done Evie!!!
